Beatles tribute enlists ESO

A popular Beatles tribute act will bring the Fab Four's tunes to life in Edmonton this spring with a little help from their friends, the Edmonton Sym-phony Orchestra.
Classical Mystery Tour, which consists of creator Jim Owen (John Lennon), Tony Kishman (Paul McCartney), John Brosnan (George Harrison) and Chris Camilleri (Ringo Starr), performs at the Winspear Centre on June 5.
Every Classical Mystery Tour concert features more than 20 Beatles songs, from the Brit band's early days at the Cavern Club through Abbey Road. Martin Herman, who created the orchestral transcriptions, conducts.
The group has been touring since the early 1990s, even dressing the part with Sgt. Pepper costumes. They were a huge hit when they performed with the ESO at Symphony Under the Sky in 2008.
Tickets range from $39 to $69 plus service charges and can be purchased at edmontonsymphony or by calling 780-428-1414.
