Fabric artwork telling story of The Beatles auctions for charity

A LIVERPOOL author who created Beatles fabric artwork has raised £150 for Alder Hey by auctioning her creation.
The story of the Fab Four was retold in a new children’s book by textile artist Maria Saunderson, who crafted iconic moments in the band’s career in fabric collage and embroidery.
Maria, from New Brighton, said: “The Beatles’ story is epic and it is ongoing. It was difficult to know where to start and to end.”
Deputy Lord Mayor Gary Millar said: “This book reflects how we can take people’s hearts and minds and create wonderful pieces of art than can be spread as good news what an amazing city this is.”
