Parole Hearing Transcript Released of Lennon Killer Mark David Chapman

The transcript of the parole hearing for the man who killed John Lennon was released Wednesday by the NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
Mark David Chapman, now 57, is serving a 20 years to life sentence at Wende Correctional for the murder of the former Beatle. His parole hearing was held via video-conference last week. It was his seventh appearance before the Parole Board. He has been denied each time.
The State Department of Corrections said that despite his record of good conduct while in prison, Chapman's release would "greatly undermine respect for the law and tend to trivialize the tragic loss of life which you caused as a result of this heinous, unprovoked, violent, cold and calculated crime."
Another hearing before the Board is set for August, 2014.
