But John has a third stepsister: Victoria, who was subsequently adopted by a Norwegian couple, and renamed Ingrid Pedersen. Less well known is that John's mother had a brief liaison with a Welsh soldier and bore him a daughter.

Julia never divorced her husband, preferring to live as the common-law wife of Dykins for the rest of her life.

 



 Stone placed in 2010, a full 52 years after her death.
