Here comes the son: Paul McCartney's lad stars at show but is overshadowed by star backing band

AS the son of a Beatle, James McCartney is always going to Carry That Weight.
And even after a Hard Day’s Night performing with dad Paul and Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood, he still failed to be recognised.
James, 35, was gigging in London ahead of a US tour promoting his debut album Me.
He called in a favour from veteran rocker Ronnie by asking him to play guitar during the set.
But Paul, 70, could not resist getting involved – and surprised James by leaping on stage to play the piano during one of his songs.
Afterwards Macca and Ronnie, 65, were mobbed at the Ambassadors Theatre by excited fans eager to get pictures and their autographs.
But moments later James left with his fashion designer sister Stella, 41 – and there was no one left wanting to hold his hand or even speak to him.
Macca and Ronnie previously played together during Paul’s show at London’s O2 Arena in 2011.
Last year James was reported to want to step out of his famous father’s shadow after being encouraged by Macca’s third wife Nancy Shevell, 52.
Friends said she has given him confidence and has encouraged him to perform live.
