Liverpool Beatles hotel restaurant launches Mother's Day menu

Blakes Restaurant in Liverpool's Hard Days Night Hotel has launched its special Mother’s Day menu.

Named after the famous Beatles’ song ‘Your Mother Should Know’, guests will be able to treat their mums to an unforgettable day on 10th March.

There will be a delicious three-course menu on offer that has been devised by Senior Executive Head Chef Paul Feery and his team.

Starters include roasted tomato soup with tarragon crème fraiche, poached salmon tiane with cucumber and lemon dressing, chicken liver parfait with fig chutney and toasted brioche and thai style braised mussels with coconut milk and spices.

For mains, there is an option of roasted sirloin of beef or rosemary and garlic leg of lamb served with potatoes and seasonal vegetables.

Also offered will be salmon fishcakes, crushed saffron potatoes, baby spinach and herb beurre blanc, confit duck legs with a warm Asian salad and a sweet soy and plum sauce and woodland mixed mushroom risotto served with truffle.

To finish the meal, Paul has created four delicious desserts including apple crumble and cinnamon ice cream, white chocolate cheesecake and raspberry sauce, sticky toffee pudding with warm caramel sauce or selection of English cheeses with assorted crisp breads and crackers.

General Manager of Hard Days Night Hotel, Mike Dewey, said: "Mother’s Day is always an important date in the calendar for us and we are looking forward to meeting all of the wonderful mums from in and around the city on 10th March.

"Each mum that dines with us will receive a beautiful bunch of flowers at the end of their dining experience as a thank you for everything they do throughout the year."

Blakes’ Mother’s Day menu is priced £32.50 per person.
