Beatles legend Paul McCartney just keeps on rocking. The legendary singer just announced his first live tour date of 2013 will be taking place in Warsaw, Poland. The June 22nd show at National Stadium will mark the beginning of McCartney's new tour called "Out There." The 70-year-old former Beatles singer will be touring throughout 2013 to promote his new album.
The June 22nd show will be McCartney's first show ever in Poland. The singer made the tour announcement on his website, putting an emphasis on visiting places McCartney has never been before. The statement says, "The tour will see Paul and his band travel the world throughout the year, even visiting some places they've never been before. Further announcements and dates will be added in the coming weeks so stay tuned to PaulMcCartney.com for updates and ticketing details."
McCartney just tweeted out a second tour date on his 2013 tour. On Wednesday March 20, @PaulMcCartney tweeted, "Paul's just confirmed a 2nd date on his 'Out There!' tour. He will play Vienna's Happel Stadium on 27th June: http://www.PaulMcCartney.com"
McCartney is working on a new studio album as a follow up to last year's Kisses on the Bottom album, as well as headlining this year's Bonnaroo Festival with Tom Petty and Mumford & Sons. McCartney plans on performing music on tour from his solo career, the Beatles, and the Wings.
NME also reported today (March 20) that McCartney, David Bowie, and other artists are putting out special releases as a part of Record Store Day this year. Part of the celebration for April 20th's Record Store Day in the UK, artists will make rare tracks and special releases available in over 200 record stores across England.
