New Hard Rock Hotel to debut in Daytona Beach in 2016

Hard Rock International has plans for a new beachfront hotel and cafe in Daytona Beach. Pictured here is a rendering of a new hotel announced last year in Abu Dhabi.

Hard Rock International is bringing its vibe to Daytona Beach just in time for the 58th annual Daytona 500 in 2016.
The new Hard Rock Hotel is being planned as a 250-room, 100-condo beachfront complex and would include a signature Hard Rock Cafe and 28,000 square feet of ballroom and banquet space, said a news release.
The project, being developed in partnership with Canadian private investment firm Bayshore Capital Inc., has yet to finalize financing and still seeks approvals from the city of Daytona Beach and Volusia County, the release said.
Representatives from Orlando-based Hard Rock International were not immediately available to provide more details on the project.
However, the project is slated for a 10-acre site on State Road A1A just south of SunSplash Park, a strip now lined with small shops and motels, the Daytona Beach News-Journal reported.
