John Lennon Beatles' jacket up for auction, expected to fetch £10k

The coat had been left behind in Lennon's Berkshire mansion when he moved to the US in 1971. He bequeathed it and other possessions to his assistant, Jo Jo Johns, to give away or dispose of as she saw fit. She then gave the jacket to friend Anthony Goddard as a birthday present and he has now decided to sell it on at a Hansons Auctioneers and Valuers event in Derbyshire.
The jacket, in the same style as the outfits worn by the band for their 1967 Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club, is expected to rake in around £10,000.
