The Beatles made £43.5 million in 2012

The Beatles made $43.5 million in 2012, despite forming over 50 years ago.

The Fab Four managed to increase their annual turnover by £2m last year, according to financial documents filed by their company Apple Corps Limited.

Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will receive £5.1m each in dividends, while late members George Harrison and John Lennon's widows Olivia Harrison and Yoko Ono will receive the payments on their behalf.

Meanwhile, McCartney was recently confirmed to play this year's iHeart Radio Festival in Las Vegas next month, performing alongside a lineup which includes Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake and Drake.
