Yoko Ono and Iggy Pop Team on 'Waiting for the D Train' Live

The list of Yoko Ono's admirers is a long one, and many of them joined her onstage in 2010 at the Orpheum in Los Angeles to perform her songs with her. The roster that night included Lady Gaga, Kim Gordon, Thurston Moore, RZA, Perry Farrell and Iggy Pop, who joined Ono on "Waiting for the D Train." (The Plastic Ono Band boasted an impressive lineup, too, with Sean Lennon and Wilco's Nels Cline on guitar, Mike Watt on bass and Yuko Araki on drums).

Ono and Iggy are releasing the song as a limited-edition single that will also include Pop's studio cover of Ono's "I'm Going Away Smiling." In addition to 1,000 one-sided vinyl records (with an etching by Ono on the flip side), the songs will also be available digitally on September 13th through Chimera Music. Proceeds from the song will benefit Paws 4 You Rescue of Miami, an animal rescue group chosen by Pop.
