Musicians to pay respects at funeral of drummer to the stars Roger Pope

 

MUSICIANS past and present were set to pay their respects at the funeral of legendary Southampton drummer Roger Pope today.

Roger, who played with Rod Stewart, Elton John and Paul McCartney, died from cancer earlier this month hours after tying the knot with long-term partner Sue Tressider in Southampton General Hospital.
His funeral, which is open to everyone, was due to start at Wessex Vale Crematorium in Southampton at 1pm.
A wake, with bands, will be held afterwards at The Brook in Portswood Road.
