McCartney demand for release from Beatles unearthed for new radio special

The BBC has unearthed some rare Paul McCartney audio after he left the Beatles, including a bitter call for the group to release him from their contract, for the latest chapter of its archival “At the BBC” series that premiered yesterday.
“Paul McCartney At the BBC,” hosted by Johnnie Walker, starts with the Beatles' break-up and goes through McCartney's solo career to the present with many BBC archival audio clips.
In a bitter interview in 1970 at the time of the Beatles' breakup, he declared the group's time had ended and he told of his demand to be freed from the group.
