At a preview Friday for the press ahead of the upcoming tour by Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band, the former Beatle said that traveling to Australia with the Beatles was "crazy".
He told Yahoo News,“It was crazy. That's how it was in those days, but it was great and it was the four of us playing. People forget we were musicians and we just loved to play together."

He also said, "I hope not" when asked if he expected female fans to toss their underwear on the stage.

Ringo and the All-Starr begin a 14-show tour Feb. 7 in Christchurch, New Zealand that will feature 14 shows in 11 cities. After starting off in New Zealand, the tour heads for Australia.

At the press preview today, Ringo and the band did a short show featuring “Boys,” “Evil Ways,” “Rosanna,” “I Saw the Light” and “Broken Wings.” The former Beatle then answered a few questions from the press, and ended the press conference by playing “With a Little Help From My Friends.”
