McCartney, Page, Clapton Celebrate ‘Sgt. Pepper’ Artist Peter Blake’s 80th Birthday

Sir Peter Blake – the artist responsible for probably the best-known album cover in history, The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely hearts Club Band – celebrated his 80th birthday with some of Britain’s greatest rockers.
According to the Daily Express, Ronnie Wood, Eric Clapton and Sir Paul McCartney attended his birthday party while Bill Wyman, Jimmy Page and Roger Daltrey all visited the exhibition of Blake’s work at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
No let up for Macca – it’s been announced that the bass-playing Beatle will perform his classic song, “Let it Be” at the London Olympics opening ceremony.
